I teach At-Risk students in the 10th grade who have done poorly on the state TAKS Science Math tests and 12th graders that must pass Math and Science TAKS to graduate.

OUR BATTERIES NEED TO BE CHARGED... In order to use the technology and the calculators provided by our school district, we need to keep batteries available and ready to use. The teacher cannot keep up with the cost of replacing the batteries. Chargeable and rechargeable batteries will be of the utmost benefit.

We use Science and Math calculators in our classroom daily. If we could have chargers and rechargeable batteries, we would have no down time. We also have an interactive program that requires batteries in students' personal "clickers". Just yesterday I tried to use them and all 64 batteries in 32 clickers were not good.

Yes, our batteries need to be charged and recharged. This will make it possible to get the most use out of the technology that our school district has provided. Charged batteries will keep these students working and having faith in their ability to pass the TAKS and go on to college with faith in themselves and knowledge that they indeed do have CHARGED BATTERIES!
