My students need to visualize what I am teaching them in 3D! I have a rambunctious group of second graders in a high poverty area of the city. All of my students are English language learners with limited vocabularies. Most of my students come from hard working families, so my kids don't get a lot of support from home. California is currently going through some tough economic times, and my district is unable to provide me with adequate technology. This is where you come in and save the day!

My students lack adequate vocabulary because they are not exposed to a great deal of stimuli. They need to learn new words, and see pictures and watch videos of these new terms in order to fully understand them and utilize them in their conversations and writing.

I need a laptop computer that I can use in the classroom to expand my student's vocabulary. I can use the laptop to print out pictures for each new term. I can also show videos on various topics from online sources. I will also be able to create many materials besides pictures, such as literacy center activities, worksheets, and graphs for my students. The laptop can also be used by students at various times during the day to practice typing skills, research projects, and educational games. There are a million things that my students will be able to achieve with this one special donation!

Your donation will help improve the lives of students who have very little. This donation will help them achieve their goals of expanding their vocabulary, and overall improving their educational experience. My students and I will be forever grateful!
