A full inclusion classroom in a rural school is seeking integration of technology to enhance the learning experience. I teach 140 7th grade students on all ability levels in geography. All students regardless of ability level are serviced in the regular classroom by highly qualified regular education teachers.

My students, in general, come from poor rural homes where they are limited to their exposure to the global world. I am using our study of geography to expose students to various cultures and areas of the world that they will most likely not have the opportunity to explore. Through the use of technology and interactive video my students can see the world, and become better global citizens.

I am needing for my classroom a LCD projector so that students are able to see various regions of the world through interactive video and live cameras from around the world. This project will serve the needs of my students by allowing them as a whole class to view these regions and discuss them as a whole. We will be able to take virtual field trips together all over the world that will introduce and expose my students to so many different cultures and experiences that will enhance the study of geography.

You contributions will allow my students an opportunity most of them will never have. They will be able to travel the world and gain knowledge that is out of their cultural defines. It will provide them a since of global connection that will enhance their ability to engage and interact with people from all over the world with an open and accepting mind.
