Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Macs are cool! As a music teacher, the Mac software and computer work better in my elementary classroom. We have been using an eMac in our classroom since 2000. The computer still works and is used mostly to run iTunes. As you can imagine, a computer this old is running much slower than we need. Each day more than 100 students enter my classroom. I teach music to six different grade levels and a reading intervention class as well. My students are diverse in terms of skills, backgrounds, and learning needs. Due to the poverty in our area, my school became a Title I school this year. A new Mac mini would be wonderful for our classroom. Upgrading our existing eMac would allow our classroom time to be much more efficient. We would be able to load our entire CD collection into iTunes, record and edit audio using Garage Band, and watch slideshow presentations that I've created of our songs using iWork. Your gift will quickly transform the way I teach and the way my students learn. If you already own an Apple computer, I think you'll agree that they are fabulous. Help our classroom retire a computer older than my students.
