I teach science and engineering at a technical school. The students that are at this school are very hands on students.

With the cut backs teachers are facing today in the struggling economy we have struggle to get supplies to enrich the students learning environment.

With teaching Engineering and science gives me a chance to integrate the subjects and allow the students to build off each others knowledge. I am wanting to use the roller coaster kits to allow the physical science students to understand potential and kinetic energy. The physical science students will work with the engineering students which will learn the design process and build a mock-up of a roller coaster.

Have you every heard "you don't really know it until you teach it"? I amusing this knowledge to allow the students to work with each other to share their knowledge while building on that knowledge through the integration of the two classes. The students will be teaching each other and applying that knowledge.The best part is that the students will be having fun and seeing science is used in every day life and not just something we make them learn
