This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
I teach sophomores at a low income school in Pennsylvania. My classes consist of regular level chemistry and lower level chemistry.
I teach chemistry and we have a lot of chapters and sections which have math involved. The school gave me six scientific calculators to use for classes of about 30 students. It is impossible to do the work required without a calculator available.
My students are not able to multiply 6.34 by 6.02 x 10. They would benefit from having these calculators, as they would be able to do their work faster and better.
These calculations are required for formula stoichiometry. Please support this project.
