My students need a document camera to enlarge anything and everything - we can enlarge books, papers, projects, science demonstrations and any other item that will fit on the screen.

I teach in an immediate suburb adjacent to a large city. I teach two half-day Kindergarten programs.

We have antiquated technology and I would like to replace the overhead and transparencies with a document camera. I have 26-30 students per classroom and there are many times throughout the day I hear, "I can't see." This would allow for all students to see things a lot easier. Some examples are books, writing examples, project examples and handwriting.

The document camera would allow for many more items to be enlarged versus an overhead. Any item that will fit on the camera can be enlarged to fit on the screen. This would enable all students to see and have the same advantages. It is a convenience that has become a necessity with class sizes growing.

Technology is not going anywhere and my Kindergarten students will have tools in ten years that have not even been created yet. Who knows...maybe one of my students will create the next latest and greatest technological tools!
