My students need 2 portable, hand-held video cameras to create student directed movies and recordings for projects and parent/community communication.

I am a teacher-librarian who teachers students in grades K-6. We are a growing district that is the 12th largest in our state at this time. My elementary is one of 8 in the district with student of all backgrounds. We also house many of the BD kids in the district.

With the technology we have available to us we are in need of supplemental items such as video cameras to expand our students learning and to motivate their learning even more.

Our goal is to get enough video cameras that students can use them in partners or small groups to create their own movies, video-tape school plays, create guided tours of our school, memory videos of each grade, ect. These videos can be burned to DVD for long term memories and they can be posted to the website for parent/community communication as well. The opportunities are endless.

Your donation will help students for years to come. We need to bring our students learning into the 21st Century. Making movies is something that interests them and makes them excited about learning again. How could you pass up an opportunity to help with such a project?
