A young child will develop the love of reading by listening to wonderful stories, poems and songs. I teach kindergarten and I have learned through experience the more children are read to the better readers they become.

I have a wonderful listening center where my students can go to listen to great books, songs, and poems, but I have no tape player for them to use. I also have a very limited amount of stories for them to listen to.

I would love to give them a new tape player and some wonderful new songs, poems and stories that they can choose from. I believe the more they are exposed to the better they will enjoy reading and listening.

Your help will enable my young students to learn the importance of reading and listening so they can grown into excellent readers and writers. You can make it possible for them to be exposed to many different types of literature.
