"We all have stories to tell about our first experiences at school. Are you willing to help create an experience like that for each of my 18 amazing preschoolers? I am an inner city Pre-K teacher at a magnet school. We are a terrific school located in a highly depressed area. Within our school walls we endeavor every day to expose our students to opportunities they often do not receive at home. Unfortunately, being read to every day rarely occurs in the homes of many of my children. One of the ways we combat this is to read appropriate stories constantly. The children love to listen to these stories and beg for them to be retold again and again. The resources I am requesting are literacy bags and puppets for storytelling and retelling! These sets each come with a classic piece of literature and a variety of story props. Your generosity will not only enable my students this year, but every student I teach ever after an amazing opportunity to become confident and successful learners!
