Help us shine! I teach Social Studies to middle school eighth graders in South Carolina. We are a diverse group with lots of talent and energy.

We are experiencing severe budget cuts this year and are expecting even more cuts for 2009-2010. Because of this, our supplies will be very much limited. We could help remedy this situation by having a visual presenter in our class. This would reduce the number of individual copies needed for instruction.

But more importantly, we could use this presenter to show off student work. Often students create impressive brochures, political cartoons, drawings and scrapbooks. Wouldn't it be neat if students could view each others work collectively as a group? And what about the positive reinforcement the author would receive?

You can make it possible for us to use less supplies in the classroom and showcase student work at the same time. I believe the use of a visual presenter will encourage students to take pride in their work and will ultimately boost their self-esteem.
