"Dem Bones, Dem Bones!" I am a fourth grade teacher at an amazing empowerment school. At my school, I teach language arts, mathematics, writing, science, and social studies. The school has a large focus on reading.

My students are learning about the human body and all of the different body systems. I'm looking for a meaningful way to engage my students in this science unit and I believe I've come across a great solution.

The students in my classroom would truly benefit from having models of the human body to observe and explore. With a model in the classroom, students can easily visualize and identify the many body parts. They will better understand the purpose of our skeletal system, digestive system, nervous system, and repository system. Students can take advantage of these teaching aides by interacting with it and seeing the full model of the human body. The students will also learn about the human body as they create a model of the lungs and find their heart rates. The students will be able to continue their learning with the life science quiz show game. Students will understand element a of life science including the human body.
