Life In The 21st Century Classroom

My biology lab students need a digital scale and an oxygen sensor.

I teach all the life sciences at our school. My courses include 10th grade biology, pre-AP biology, AP biology, Anatomy & physiology, and Microbiology. This is a rural district with no more than 300 in grades 9-12. We are fortunate to have wonderful administrators who truly care about the education of our kids.

I have wonderful students who need as many opportunities as possible to help them move out of the poverty that is found in this rural area.

The two items I've requested will better help support my goal of introducing students to hands-on science with the assistance of modern technology. The digital scale will allow for quick measurements and the oxygen sensor will give my students the opportunity to utilize technology in our study of plant and animal metabolism.

Your help in funding these items would have a small yet important impact on all of my students. These students come from an area where opportunities to learn important life skills are at a minimum. In larger, well-funded schools, the requested items would be expected, but in our situation, we have other more pressing financial needs. I appreciate any help you might have to offer.
