Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am the teacher of 21 amazing second graders. This is a Title I school so there are a few challenges, but the students in my classroom truly want to learn an be successful.

My students are very bright but extremely below par in reading. They love reading but most of them need my help to read books on a 2nd grade level. I would like them to be able to read 2nd grade books independently as I pull small groups of students to work on specific reading skills.

The Leapfrog Read-It-All program is the perfect solution because it allows the student to read independently. These reading pads can read the story to the student or just read words they struggle with. It also has great games to help them practice essential reading skills.

As a teacher, I strive each day to give my students the best opportunity to succeed. Second grade is really the 'golden' grade to re-teach basic reading skills and help them become readers. My students are behind grade level in reading and truly need the extra reading practice the LeapFrog Read-It-All program provides. Please partner with me create the best environment for them to improve their reading and become strong readers.
