I have a wonderful class of twenty-three kindergarteners. They are very hard-working and are excited about reading and writing. The resources I have requested will give my students more learning opportunities during guided reading and writing practice. Five of my students receive ELL (English Language Learners)services and seven students receive reading intervention services. These materials will provide wonderful visuals to make learning more meaningful to my students.

I have a low group of students this year, but they are so motivated to read and write. They enjoy looking at books and work extremely hard during guided reading sessions with me. One resource I believe will help them be more successful during guided reading sessions are the Hear Myself Sound Phones. These plastic phones let the students hear themselves talk so they can really focus on every sound and word they say. These materials will give them more practice in the skills they need to be successful in school.

We currently use paper and pencils to write in journals. The materials I have requested will provide my students with additional reading and writing tools that will engage them in a new and exciting way to master their letters and sounds, and improve their reading and writing skills. Our class needs a set of 10 hear myself phones, lowercase pegboards, letter sounds rubber stamps, a set of 6 writing practice magic boards, and an alphabet sounds sorting center. It is so important to develop a student's love of learning at a young age so they will be successful as they continue their education. I want to build a classroom of lifelong learners, and your donation will ensure that this will happen.
