My 8th grade leadership students need a Pure Digital Flip Ultra to document, review and share performances of the their original works of poetry and storytelling to foster public speaking skills in the new digital community.

My school develops leaders who will engage in civic service for the betterment of themselves, our community and our world. The students engage in the research and writing process to develop speeches based on local community needs. Next, they practice their public speaking skills by delivering their speeches to their peers via the Internet. This process is also called Digital Performance Literacy.

My students do not have a communication recording tool to develop their public speaking skills as future leaders in our community. We have computers that will transfer and edit the videos; however, we do not have rapid, digital recording devices.

My students need a digital recording device, Flip It! camera, to record their speeches and strengthen their public speaking skills.
