But I think there are things more important than either one of those-- and so I've decided once again, after a year's hiatus, to throw down my razor and join the annual Mustaches For Kids Fundraiser. Yes, I am starting late. Yes, the odds (and my genes) are against me. But that never stopped from me from trying something before. My goal is simple-----$750. It's not a lot, I know. But I think there are things more important than either one of those-- and so I've decided once again, after a year's hiatus, to throw down my razor and join the annual Mustaches For Kids Fundraiser. Yes, I am starting late. Yes, the odds (and my genes) are against me. But that never stopped from me from trying something before. My goal is simple-----$750. It's not a lot, I know. But I think it's doable and I know it will make a big difference in the lives of high-need public school students in this city. So until December 11-- I will be doing my best to coax my little hair follicles, my fuzz patch, the little piece of sandpaper on my upper lip towards something resembling an actual mustache. Yes, my pride will be on the line. Yes, my social life will be impacted. Maybe even my work life. But I think the cause is worth it. Take a moment and look below-- I've picked out some really inspiring projects to support---ones I think really have the potential to broaden a child's world in interesting ways. Believe me, I know how tough times are financially. But if I can push my body to this extreme, then you can stretch your wallet. I swear it will make you feel really good when you get a thank you letter from a schoolkid or teacher about much one of these projects meant to them. I won't pretend I am not scared. I am. But I know that's a normal part of the process. It would mean a lot to me (and to thousands of school kids) if you would join me on this journey. Thanks! hide
