When you see me this September I will be accompanied by an old friend, my battle buddy. This shipmate has served with me around the Pacific both afloat and ashore. We’ve deployed from one end of the Indonesian archipelago to the other, crossed the equator and the dateline. Yet sadly, my friend has hardly seen my home.
