I teach in an inner city 6th thru 12th grade public school and would like to acquire a library of the best movies (according to the American Film Institute) of all times to show my film students. _ The movies would be used to teach how the socio-economic conditions, culture, religion, prejudice, bigotry, racism, etc. were all influenced by Hollywood and how Hollywood influenced them. Students would get an appreciation of the film-making process as they learn how a movie goes from concept to screening. Movies like "Citizen Kane", "Casablanca", "Singin' In The Rain", "To Kill A Mockingbird", "Raisin In The Sun", Treasure of Sierra Madre" and "Some Like It Hot" are some of the films that wold be included in the library that would cover all genres (i.e. comedy, western, drama, musical, etc.). It would give high school students an opportunity to see the works of the greatest movie directors, writers, actors, etc. from Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin to Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks.
