At this time of year children especially, and ways to help them, are on our minds. I have found a terrific way to help this year! Most children at the Pre-K level have difficulty retaining information from their early experiences. At this school, many students have a language barrier which limits conversation between us. Often, children are not able to share their school experiences with their families. Without this conversation, they cannot reinforce their experiences and the memories are often lost. In this class they use photographs of school trips and special events to reinforce the children’s memories. This project will allow each child to have their own photo album to fill over the year with the pictures of all the things they do and the places they go. What a great way to help the children hold on to their experiences so that they can utilize them as they move through the higher grades; having the photo printer and paper in their classroom would engage the children even more. This project needs one digital photo printer and ten photo printer paper packs (120 sheets per pack). The cost of this proposal is $615, which I have already donated to. I was looking for something in my local area to help with when I came across this project. It just hit me - what a wonderful way to positively remember what you've learned and who you shared that experience with! Please, let's help them reach their goal! hide
