This digital history project incorporates reading, writing, and technology for students to present their social studies projects in a photo story format. Students will research an ancient civilization and its contribution to the world. This project will allow them to use computers, scanners, and printers to import images from their drawings, books, and internet. Our school is in the lower east side area near Chinatown. My students are from low income families and are in the free lunch program. Many of them don't have access to computers and printers at home. This project will enable them to learn to use new technology and apply it to real projects. This will increase their interests while learning the subject area. They will present their final projects to a live audiences of teachers and students. hide
