When a project reaches its funding goal, Donorschoose.org ships the materials to the school. The Con Edison STEM Classroom program helps public school teachers in NYC and Westchester reach their goal faster by providing a half-off match. When 50 percent of a project is funded through citizen donations, Con Edison contributes the remaining 50 percent. For the first time, we have been able to partner with the public schools in the many neighborhoods and communities we serve.
