The curriculum in our school books is necessary, but not always the most fascinating of subjects. Remember when you read your first Madeline L'Engle book? How did it inspire you? What images did it conjure? I can't imagine a better way of encouraging and motivating young readers than giving them amazing books by creative, passionate writers. Give our fifth grade students a chance to learn in a way that won't make kids snooze, but wake the inner writer in them!
