My Students

My school is a project-based learning public charter in Brighton, Michigan. Our students come from all types of backgrounds, and they choose this school because we provide a safe, engaging, rigorous, and authentic educational environment.

Students come to this school because they have felt lost in traditional classrooms, and they are looking for something that allows them to take more ownership over how they learn.

Learning through experience is what defines our student body experience, better preparing them for their future.

My Project

Having a drone camera is something the students have wanted for a long time now. Last year, we got lucky when a student already had one, and he brought it to class a couple of times. Our school budget is so locked down right now, that I thought I would parlay my previous success on this site into a drone for the Media class. Students will use this on their personal media projects, along with the school announcements, school events, and more. Further, it will give the students access to technology that is in demand right now, and something they may not be able to use otherwise. It will be a great addition to the class materials.
