When our students were first made aware of the donations they were taken aback. They didn't realize that others would care in a project they wanted to see in their school, let alone donate funds to buy the materials. Every since we have received these donations students have participated in playing music and collaborating every week. \r\n\r\nThis project started out as an afterschool club, but since then has also become a during the school day club as well. The club has moved to my classroom to is own room in the students co-lab, which is much more accessible to all. We have opened the door to other students with a love for music who have joined and brought their own instruments. The drum kit is used daily. We have students with experience and others picking up the drums for the first time. I've witnessed students who are quiet in class become teachers, asking me to print out sheets, and sketching notes on whiteboards to teach others. \r\n\r\nThe FL Studio and Midi keyboard is an invaluable tool for our students interested in digital music and also recording music played by others. Students have their own laptop with the program they can check out to use during seminar and after school. They are creating personal projects and showing others how to use FL Studio. This not only helps the music club, but also promote digital literacy. \r\n\r\nPlease keep us in mind in the future. Now that we are in a new space, the club is thinking of other tools we could use to broaden out outreach and create more learning opportunities. We greatly appreciate all the contributions that were made to make this club possible. It really has made a difference, especially in a time when schools are struggling to have students engage and connect. This is an experience that is truly making a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1746456152575,"projectUrl":"project/purposeful-action-project-music-club/9155962/","projectTitle":"Purposeful Action Project: Music Club","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lieberman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8906855_orig.jpg?crop=3106,3106,x418,y985&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1698943731796","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8906855"},{"teacherId":9765512,"projectId":9310439,"letterContent":"When the new materials arrived, my students were immediately excited to see the empty timeline space transform into something they could contribute to and help build. We began by prepping the wall together, using the painter's tape and rollers to clearly section off eras and themes. One memorable moment came when students added our first set of timeline entries during our current unit—they carefully referenced their notes, discussed where each event best fit, and proudly placed their contributions on the board. The binders and cubby shelves have already become part of our daily routine: students store their timeline entries, drafts, and reference sheets so they can easily return to their work and build on it week-to-week. Our next step is to continue growing the timeline as we move into our next unit, allowing students to make deeper connections across time and visually track how their understanding evolves. The excitement and ownership they've shown so far have made this space a central and meaningful part of our classroom.\r\n\r\nThis project has had a meaningful impact on students' learning and engagement throughout the school year. By creating a large, interactive timeline and providing the organizational tools needed to support it, students have have a clear, accessible space to track major themes, events, and connections in our curriculum. The binders, cubby shelf, and storage bins help students take responsibility for maintaining shared materials and keeping their work organized, strengthening their collaboration and executive functioning skills. With the painter's tape and painting supplies, the timeline is visually bold and inviting, encouraging students to contribute regularly and take pride in the classroom environment. Overall, these resources have supported a more hands-on, student-centered classroom where learners feel ownership of their learning and see how their thinking develops over time.","fullyFundedDate":1746787082395,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-history-to-life-a-timeline-for/9310439/","projectTitle":"Bringing History to Life: A Timeline for Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bagierek","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9765512"},{"teacherId":8906855,"projectId":8921670,"letterContent":"I wanted to thank you for helping us with our journey of creativity, innovation, and creating authentic learning opportunities for students. During the project, when we were learning more about Arduino and creating circuits, I was overjoyed to see students not only engage in the learning, but create additional time to learn and build their projects. A handful of students stayed after school four support time several days just to get their project right! They felt challenged, and a sense of accomplishment when they figured things out!\r\n\r\nThis has been a milestone in our learning adventure this year. We started with creative prototyping, which turned into applying the circuits to these prototypes to make installations that light up, move, and make sound. Students made MP3 players to play ambient sounds for their short stories or a speech from a historical figure, created images and symbol from stories to light up and move, or just developed a deeper understanding of applying these technologies into their humanities project. \r\n\r\nThis has set the state for the next stage of our project, which will be to make our writing more interactive and the creation of escape rooms. This would not have been possible without your help!","fullyFundedDate":1731537041736,"projectUrl":"project/from-cardboard-to-interactive-installati/8921670/","projectTitle":"From Cardboard to Interactive Installations!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lieberman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8906855_orig.jpg?crop=3106,3106,x418,y985&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1698943731796","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8906855"},{"teacherId":9765512,"projectId":8803658,"letterContent":"The \"Mindful Moments\" project created a transformative space in our classroom where students prioritized their mental health and emotional well-being. Students became better equipped to navigate academic challenges and personal struggles, fostering resilience and emotional balance.\r\n\r\nThis project had a meaningful impact on students far beyond the classroom, teaching lifelong skills for self-care, stress management, and mindfulness. The books have inspired creativity and curiosity, offering our students a chance to escape into new worlds while fostering a love for reading and exploration.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only brightened our classroom but also supported our efforts to create a space where every student feels cared for and supported. Student have used the tools you have given them to develop hands-on learning experiences crafting their ideas out of cardboard. Our new project will create a interactive installation—more to come on this part later—where we will have the cardboard move, play sound, and light up using Arduino. Many students have been using a lot of the fidgets. I have a spot in the classroom for the fidgets where students can pull from and use during class. They use them everyday, which can allow them to have something for their hands to fidget with while they learn math. Just some of their favorites are the blue and yellow colorful spiral goo fidget, and the multiplication pop it. When these fidgets first came, all students were intrigued, coming up to my desk and seeing the different fidgets, and playing with them!\r\n\r\nWhen I got the box for the stability ball balance chair, I had my advisees work to put it together.
