We recently had our old, well-loved listening center retire. The students are unable to listen to their favorite CD stories unless we use a whole group computer to do so. The old listening story allowed 4 students to share one book while listening. We would love to allow for more student choice when choosing books that they would like to listen to. By receiving individual CD players for the students, they will be able to choose their own CD story to listen to, and have more options to choose from. Each student at that center would be able to hold onto and read their own chosen story.
