Our school is located in the central corridor of urban Phoenix and includes a very diverse population of students. Many of our students have not had the opportunity to be involved in fitness activities outside of school nor have the ability to be a part of a gym or fitness club or outside sports. Sadly, many of our feeder schools are dropping or greatly reducing Physical Education classes due to budget restraints so many are entering high school with little or no fitness/health education and many with little consistent exercise or healthy nutrition information as part of their daily lives.
