Welcome to my Physics classroom at Henry W. Longfellow Career Exploration Academy, a nationally recognized Dallas ISD magnet MIDDLE school where curiosity, creativity, and academic excellence come together! Our school has proudly earned three National Blue Ribbon School awards, maintains an A rating from the Texas Education Agency, and was ranked the #1 Standout Middle School in Texas for 2026 by Niche! I have the privilege of teaching 8th-grade students who are already tackling high school-level Physics. My students are curious, creative, ambitious, and eager to understand how the world around them works. They love opportunities to design, build, experiment, and challenge themselves through hands-on STEM experiences. What makes our classroom special is that we don't just learn Physics from a textbook—we bring science to life! Whether students are engineering mousetrap cars, designing projectile launchers, exploring Newton's Laws, or investigating electricity, my goal is to give them experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and innovation. While our students demonstrate tremendous academic potential, many come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. I believe every student deserves access to engaging, meaningful STEM experiences, regardless of their family's financial circumstances. My goal is to create a classroom where students don't just study science—they experience it, engineer it, and discover what they're capable of achieving.
