One of our first activities was a hands-on salt tasting lab, where students used the new measuring cups and containers to carefully portion out samples and compare flavors from around the world. Their reactions ranged from wide-eyed surprise to lots of laughter, and many said it was one of the most fun labs they've ever done.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies first arrived, the classroom buzzed with excitement—students wanted to open every box and try out each tool right away. Having real equipment in their hands made them feel like professionals, and that pride showed in the way they worked together.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these same resources will be used next semester in our cooking and cleaning labs inside our state-of-the-art facility. Students will take the measuring, safety, and teamwork skills they've practiced and apply them to more complex culinary projects.
