Think about how you feel when you're trying to learn something new for the first time. Nervous? Excited? Scared? Now imagine having to sit on an uncomfortable chair while you pay attention and share your ideas ALL day! My project will fund the beginning of flexible seating options for my students in my classroom. Physical activity is linked to higher academic performance AND better behavior, so no doubt these wobble stools will enhance my students' learning! Having flexible seating in my small group instruction table will allow my students to maintain focus as they take control of their own bodies to wobble, rock, and move without being disruptive to others.
