Currently my students sit in traditional desks that are uncomfortable and difficult to re-arrange. I would like to provide them with more opportunities to collaborate on projects and assignments. I believe giving them a separate lounge area within the classroom will improve their effort and willingness to work together on projects. I will utilize a timer so that all students have the ability to work in the lounge. Furthermore, the lounge area will allow me to create student centered work that will help them thrive in the 21st century. I can already picture students getting excited to learn and collaborate because they can sit in an area that is clean, modern, and professional.
