These items will directly impact the students in my special education classroom. In high school, students are asked to sit for the majority of their day. By having access to seating that helps support them, both physically and mentally, they can better focus and be more comfortable. All students deserve to have quality art supplies. For a number of reasons, many of my students do not take art with their peers, and therefore miss out on a lot of the engaging and artistic opportunities that other students have. By providing the art books and the accompanying supplies (pencils, erasers, paint, ink for printed images, etc), students will be able to finally have a fully supplied art class that fits their needs, while in a supportive special education environment.
