Welcome to my classroom! The students of the Powerhouse, the legacy "club" that my very first class named, are talented, inquiring, bright young adults who will change our world! This year's crop of students is no different from any other in their depth of potential or loftiness of goals. In just a few short years, they will be entering the social ranks, but they have been faced with challenges and setbacks that demand persistent resilience, and I marvel their intensity and strength. 100% of the students in our school are dependent on our state's free lunch program, many of them are learning English as a second language, and a good number travel from deep in the heart of some of the city's densest, most challenged neighborhoods to be a part of our school community. Help me to make their educational experiences more rich, full, satisfying, holistic, relevant ones by contributing to one of our projects.
