The Hangar is home to 40 before-school students and 84 after-School students. This community is buzzing for ten am hours a week and seventeen pm a week. Students learn life skills at Lyman Gilmore Middle School before and after school program. The list of skills learned in this space feels endless, it could be math or it could be communication with a peer. It could be cooking or gardening, and it could be computer coding or art. In this student lead discovery space, we take pride in helping youth grow and use their voice. Honored to work with youth in this capacity has been at the forefront of designing our program policy and practice. The Hangar is where students begin or close their day. We are so excited to share those moments with each group of youth that comes to this place. Whether it is a new student to The Hangar Program, an alum, or a community member, we welcome all to this place where dreams take flight.
