The materials that I am requesting for my students will help to increase their reading fluency and comprehension. By having individual tablets for students, no one will have to wait for a turn to learn. Students will have personal access at their desks to wonderful technology programs such as MyOn and ReadingA-Z. With both of these wonderful programs, students can read into a microphone or have the books read to them. They then follow up with comprehension questions and students get to track their progress. Having this technology will also benefit my struggling writers as they can use these tablets to type or use a talk to text feature. Technology is also a great motivator! The tablets can be loaded with other educational games and used as positive behavior incentives!
