Children learn best and retain the most information when they engage their senses. Incorporating ‘sensory play’ is crucial to brain development – it helps to build nerve connections in the brain’s pathways which are used to refine their thresholds for different sensory information and how to process that information. This helps them try to make sense of the world around them. It facilitates exploration and naturally encourages children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore. My children will have an inviting learning space, to encouraged engagement in learning activities through hands on play without even realizing it.
