These Spanish books will help my students be proud of who they are! We are a bilingual classroom. Finding Spanish literature is so scarce and when we do find it, we don’t have the funds to purchase it. I want my classroom library to be a place that my students really enjoy and feel comfortable in. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read in Spanish. These books have been chosen with my students in mind. I know these Spanish books are exactly what i was missing to ensure a print rich classroom environment. My students will be able to choose 10 books each, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books in their native language that will allow them to read independently at their own reading level. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more. We’re going to build on our independent reading stamina. Each week we will increase the amount of time we read independently. These books are going to help my students grow stronger in reading.
