Welcome! South Lakewood Elementary is a trusting, collaborative enviornment where all students, staff and community feel valued and believe in putting kids first! We foster student achievement, celebrate successes and accept challenges with a positive outlook. To make a difference together we embrace individuality, responsibility, repect and the joy of learning. Our greatest struggle in the music classroom is where to have students sit and learn both comfortably and safely. We have used lunch tables (yes, lunch tables) and rickety, 30+ year old risers, and even the floor but none of those options are ideal for learning and student safety. We are working to raise money to purchase FlipForm risers that will give our students the safest experience in music, enhancing our learning through promoting proper posture, and simply ensuring everyone can see the board! Thank you for considering our cause!
