Can you imagine being 7 or 8 and having to sit still in a desk for 7 hours a day? Having flexible seating in my classroom can be beneficial by ensuring that my students can stay focused but also wiggle if need be. Each of the flexible seating options that are a part of this project will be used in a way that will benefit my students' learning. The soft seats can be used on top of their current desk chair or as an option to sit with on the floor. The flex-space wobble cushions can also be used on top of their current desk chairs or as an option to sit with on the floor. My students that want to remain at their desks with their current chairs, the bouncy bands will be used on either the desk chairs or on the desk legs to help with any fidgeting or wiggles. The stacking chairs are a great alternative to their current desk chairs. The lap desks are great for the students that are sitting on the floor and struggle with clipboards. Lastly, the inflatable Empire Chair is ideal for the students that need something not as hard on their backs and hips.
