Our school is a true representation of the United States, with over 39 languages spoken and a diverse mix of smiling faces. We are a large urban K-8 school with students who love to learn. My students come from a variety of family types and have a different levels of support and resources at home. Students turn to teachers and the school to provide the safety, support, and consistency needed in their daily life. The classroom is a place where students are challenged to be better than they were yesterday, academically and socially. The students in my class have developed a great love of learning and have shown such joy in receiving brand new books, attending field trips as well as presentations set up for them. It is important for me to find resources for students to help them grow and provide a new experience that will allow for a deeper understanding and education.
