My K-8 students keep me on my toes and are always challenging me to grow as an educator. They teach me so much about life and its daily joys and struggles. Our school brings students together of vastly varying skills from a variety of cultural backgrounds and resources. Unfortunately, we are struggling to close the achievement gap between our students of color and our white students and the majority of this growth starts with literacy.
