Material that my students need consist of dry erase boards so that we can practice our multiplication, division, fractions, etc. as a whole class. The students will be able to work out the problem on the dry erase boards, write their answer on it, then showcase it to me by holding it up. This gets rid of the concern about saying an answer out loud that is wrong and getting embarrassed. Sharing is an integral part of my classroom and it often times takes away from the learning as students are having to wait their turn to use an item. The clear plastic sheets will be great to use when doing a worksheet as extra practice. This will allow for paper to be saved and for students to work on it over again as many times as needed. The pencil sharpener is an added bonus to them because the one that is on loan to our room makes a horrible noise as they are sharpening their pencils.
