As a former Preschool teacher, Black History month was my favorite subject to teach. My three and four-year-olds were so eager to learn about former activists and what each and one of them stood up for. They had their own "I Have a Dream" speech and was by far one of the best memories as a teacher that I have ever had. I know that having the best resources available for me and my colleagues will make this teachable moment that much easier for us to educate them. As a teacher, I am a firm believer that education on social issues starts at a very young age. To have a great leader in the future we need to teach them young about social justice.

About my class
