I believe that learning, above all else, should be FUN. In my classroom, I am constantly thinking of new and novel ways to expand my curriculum in my English and Women's Studies courses. I love to bring hands-on and experiential learning into the classroom, and I also LOVE giving my students opportunities to be creative. Additionally, I advise 4 different clubs at our school, some of which have a number of material and supply demands that extend beyond what our small school budget can accomodate. My students are AMAZING, passionate young humans with huge hearts and brilliant minds. The district in which I teach is a vibrant immigrant community! At the same time, it is a low-income district; 100% of students receive free lunch, and our school budget leaves little room for these kinds of projects. Your funding makes all the difference!!
