This is my fourth year teaching FOURTH! I am so excited to teach both third and fourth grade this year at a brand new school: Tyler Elementary! As I come into a new school, I know how critically important it is to make the space feel bright and welcoming. These resilient kiddos have been at home for a year -- learning amidst babysitting duties, distracting siblings, power outages, chromebook failures and just the eye fatigue we all had from staring at Zoom. As they come back to me this fall, I want to ensure they have everything they need to feel welcome and excited to be back in this space to learn! My project is to fund basic school supplies for the classroom - pencils, markers, and whiteboards to show off their incredible math skills! I want to make this classroom a space they love being and where they can curl up in the corner in a bean bag chair! Their futures are so bright if we choose to make the spaces they spend most of their day in bright as well.
