Maintaining motivation and providing creative ways for my students to understand and apply what they are learning is very important to me. My students express their understanding and apply their learning in a variety of ways, such as through art, writing, coding, and making, to name a few. This makes it crucial to provide access to a diversity of outlets for students to learn and express themselves. One outlet to maintain student motivation and provide different ways to learn is with technology. Technology has become a key tool to advance learning, especially throughout the pandemic. As we transition back into the classroom, and as my first year in the classroom as a lead teacher, I want to ensure I have the technology to maintain students’ learning interactive, creative, and effective. Having iPad minis can provide my students access to various apps, games, and programs that allow them to build on skills they have and gain new ones in literacy, math, and problem-solving.
