Frick Impact Academy is a high trauma campus, which means that many of our students are overcoming extraordinary circumstances to become the successful and empowered scholars that we see every day. For students overcoming extraordinary circumstances, it is especially important to provide them with quiet sanctuaries. Because many of our classrooms and spaces are mixed use, and because our students' needs vary so much (some students need to be able to make noise and walk about to focus, while others need extreme silence), it can be difficult to provide the specific circumstances that every students need at different points during the day. Having noise cancelling headphones would make a huge difference for students who thrive in extremely quiet settings, and would give us the ability to provide a quiet space anywhere on campus, at any time. Stress balls are also a highly effective manipulative to help students who have trouble focusing. These two supplies combined will be invaluable to our students.
