For this project, I chose books that will help students develop a lifelong love for reading. These books are both mirrors that reflect my students' experiences as well as windows that offer them a chance to see the world beyond what they are usually exposed to. As students find books that they love, they will inevitably want to read more and more books. With a comprehensive school library, my students will be that much closer to bridging the opportunity gap that affects their lives on a daily basis. At our high school, we believe that all of our students can and will graduate from college and go on to lead the world. In order to be world changers, they need to be proficient readers. Your donations will help to make their goals a reality.
