In our classroom we are practicing the life skill of cooking and learning where our ingredients come from. My learners have recently learned that herbs are incredibly easy to grow and were shocked. Fresh ingredients are not something they typically cook with at home and so we are branching out. As we shop and cook weekly we are learning to appreciate where ingredients come from. My learners are deaf and hard of hearing and learn best with visual hands on lessons. As we continue on our journey of cooking they become more proud with each meal they prepare and are excited at the idea of growing their own herbs from start to finish. We would love any donation you could send to our class.
