In recent years we have seen a push for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education to empower students for tomorrow's world. Additionally, our school is now implementing the next generation science standards. For these reasons, our classroom needs to equip itself with material that can aid in student learning for the future. The STEM bundle offers hands on exploration of real world challenges so students can naturally solve problems as they play. I hope to use the activities in the bundle as centers where students can choose to work independently or cooperatively with their peers to create possible solutions. This type of leaning allows students to take ownership of their learning and gives them independence to learn in their own way and at their own speed. I hope to support my students' curiosity of the world by learning through real life challenges and explorative educational play.
